This edition of our magazine is dedicated to new technologies. In particular, we have dwelt on the most recent technological innovations on which, in the more or less near future, the destiny and the very survival of our Planet may depend.
Engineers, researchers, doctors and scientists from all over the world are working to develop solutions that can improve the quality of our lives without harming the environment. A company in Hong Kong, GRST, has patented the first recyclable battery. The summit is based on chemical elements that are activated by simple water. It is a 100% ecological solution that combines the practicality of a battery with the sustainability of clean energy: we present it in preview!
The JellyFishbot robot by the French company Iadys also aims to save the planet. Its creators were inspired by the shape and movement of jellyfish to create an automaton equipped with GPS locator and video camera able to clean up in total autonomy the ponds of water where plastics, floating waste and combustible oils accumulate.
The patent is a media partner of IFIA, the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations. In collaboration with IFIA, we participated in the 47th edition of the Salon des Invention in Geneva and interviewed the patron of the event, Jean-Luc Vincent, who revealed to us the secrets behind an international event capable of involving 500 exhibitors from 42 countries and tens of thousands of visitors. Obviously, we came back from Geneva with a wealth of patents and inventions to tell: from Giuseppe Pascariello’s long-life ice cream to the self-braking bicycle of the students of Li-Chih Senior High School in Taiwan, from the organic spray to remove graffiti to the electric motor that promises to upset the world of traction.
These are just some previews of what you can find in our magazine…because behind every great invention, there is the Patent!
